Prime Minister Reviews Implementation of Earlier Directives on Port Sudan International Airport While En Route to Khartoum

Port Sudan, June 29, 2026 (SUNA) — Prime Minister Professor Kamil Idris visited Port Sudan International Airport on Monday while en route to Khartoum, as part of the Hope Government’s commitment to strengthening the country’s vital infrastructure and enhancing the delivery of essential public services.During the visit, the Prime Minister reviewed the progress made in implementing the directives he had issued during his previous inspection, which focused on upgrading all services at Port Sudan International Airport to facilitate passenger movement and improve the quality of services provided.He also inspected the progress of ongoing reform and development initiatives at the airport and received a briefing on the status of implementation.The Prime Minister directed the relevant authorities to complete the remaining deficiencies and expedite the outstanding works, reaffirming the government’s commitment to developing Port Sudan International Airport to meet international airport standards and strengthen the efficiency of Sudan’s civil aviation sector.BH/BH
