Khartoum, July 2, 2026 (SUNA) — Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), Lt. Gen. Engineer Ibrahim Jaber, has reaffirmed the State’s commitment to children’s welfare and facilitating their access to treatment centres for incurable diseases. This came during his meeting on Thursday with a delegation from the Basmat Voluntary Organization for the Care of Children with Cancer, during which he was briefed on the organization’s efforts in supporting and caring for affected children. For his part, Nizar Abbas, head of the organization, said the TSC Member pledged to visit the accommodation facility for children with cancer coming from the states to assess the level of services provided. He noted that the facility helps create a positive environment for children to receive and continue treatment.BH/BH
