Prime Minister Kamil Idris met on Monday with the Chairman of the Anti-Corruption and Public Funds Recovery Commission, Lieutenant General (Police) Abdeen Al-Tahir, in the presence of Justice Minister Abdallah Dirif and the Prime Minister’s advisers, Dr. Al-Hussein Al-Khalifa Al-Siddiq Al-Hafyan and Nizar Abdallah Mohamed. Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Al-Tahir said the discussions focused on all matters related to the launch of the Anti-Corruption and Public Funds Recovery Commission. He said all obstacles hindering the commission’s work had been resolved and announced that it is scheduled to begin operations early next week. Al-Tahir expressed confidence that the remaining requirements would be completed soon, citing assurances from the Prime Minister, and said the commission would commence its work as planned in the coming period.BH/BH
