Kuwait, July 18 (QNA) – Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy said on Saturday that another power generation and water desalination plant caught fire after coming under an Iranian attack.
In a statement, the ministry said it had taken precautionary operational measures to ensure the safety of the facility and its personnel while maintaining the stability of the country’s electricity grid.
It said emergency teams, in coordination with the Kuwait Fire Force and other relevant authorities, had responded to the blaze, adding that all operational and emergency plans had been activated immediately after the incident.
On Friday, authorities brought under control a fire that broke out at another power generation and water desalination plant after an Iranian attack damaged a large number of electricity generation units.
Kuwait has repelled a series of Iranian missile and drone attacks since Thursday, according to the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces. (QNA)
