Attorneys’ Admission Committee Meeting Held Under Minister of Justice Chairmanship

Doha, July 21 (QNA) – The Attorneys’ Admission Committee met today under the chairmanship of HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi, to discuss the items on its agenda. During the meeting, three new lawyers took the legal oath after completing their training period.
The committee reviewed applications from several professionals with equivalent experience seeking registration in the roll of practicing lawyers, as well as applications to register lawyers in the trainee lawyers’ roll. It also looked into requests from three candidates to complete their training period and qualify to practice law, approved the transfer of two lawyers from the non-practicing roll to the practicing roll, and reviewed applications to transfer lawyers to the roll of practicing lawyers eligible to appear before the Court of Appeal and the Court of Cassation.
The committee also discussed several regulatory matters related to the legal profession, including reports submitted by its subcommittees and a proposed memorandum on administering the legal oath to non-Qatari lawyers.
On this occasion, Al Mohannadi reaffirmed the Ministry of Justice’s commitment to continuing the development of the legal profession, preparing qualified national talent, and providing a legislative and institutional framework that enables lawyers to perform their duties efficiently and professionally in line with the objectives of the Qatar National Vision 2030 and the goals of the Third National Development Strategy.
