Suzhou, China July 22 (QNA) – Qatar U-20 men’s handball team concluded its participation in the Asian Men’s U20 Handball Championship in Suzhou, China, with a victory over India.
Qatar controlled the match from start to finish and secured a convincing 50–26 win over India in their Group Stage encounter, played on Wednesday.
During the tournament, Qatar recorded two victories, defeating Japan and India, while suffering four defeats against South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, Iran, and Kuwait.
The narrow scorelines reflected the high level of competition the Qatari team faced, having lost to South Korea 27–28, Iran 25–26, and Kuwait 29–30.
Qatar’s participation in the Asian U-20 Championship, which runs until July 27, forms part of the team’s preparations for upcoming competitions. The U-20 Championship serves as a qualifier for the 2027 IHF Men’s Junior World Championship in North Macedonia. (QNA)
