Khartoum, July 27, 2026 (SUNA) – The General Command of the Sudanese Armed Forces announced on Monday that the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF), together with supporting forces, liberated the Om Garfa and Jireijikh areas following successful military operations that inflicted heavy casualties in personnel and equipment on the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia and its mercenaries, forcing them to retreat. With this advance, the forces have secured control of the Omdurman–El Obeid Export Road. In a press statement, the General Command said the Armed Forces and supporting forces continue to achieve successive victories across various fronts, reaffirming that the nation’s resolve remains unbroken and that the determination of its forces, with Allah’s help, is steadily advancing toward restoring security and stability throughout Sudan. The statement added that these successive victories confirm that the Armed Forces remain steadfast in the Battle of Dignity until the country is cleared of the RSF militia and its allies. The General Command concluded its statement by praying for mercy and eternal peace for the martyrs, a swift recovery for the wounded and injured, and the safe return and freedom of all prisoners and missing persons.BH/BH
