Amman, July 29 (QNA) – Jordanian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed five missiles fired from Iran toward the Kingdom early Wednesday, the official spokesperson of the Jordanian Armed Forces announced.
In a statement, the military’s spokesperson said the missiles were detected through the Armed Forces’ surveillance and monitoring network before being intercepted and brought down in accordance with the approved rules of engagement.
The spokesperson reaffirmed that the Armed Forces remain fully committed to safeguarding the Kingdom’s airspace and preserving its security and sovereignty. It will not tolerate any threat targeting the Kingdom’s security or the safety of its citizens. (QNA)
