5.5-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Egypt

Cairo, August 03 (QNA) – An earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale struck east of the Egyptian capital, Cairo, early Monday morning.

In a statement, Egypt’s National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics said the quake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers, noting that the tremor was felt but no casualties or material damage were reported. (QNA)
