Ramallah, August 3 (Petra) – Palestinian Presidential spokesperson
Nabil Abu Rudeineh accused Israel on Monday of waging a “full-scale
war” on Gaza despite a recent Phase 2 ceasefire agreement, following
Israeli strikes that killed 18 Palestinians on Sunday.

He criticized the ceasefire deal as “an agreement on paper while
death continues on the ground,” saying that it has so far “failed” to
halt the violence or ensure protection for the Palestinian
population.

Abu Rudeineh warned that Israel’s ongoing targeting of Palestinian
villages and refugee camps undermines international diplomatic
efforts and aims to erase the Palestinian presence while dismantling
refugee rights.

He urged the UN Security Council and the broader international
community to enforce the immediate implementation of Phase 2 across
Gaza, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem, and to provide urgent
international protection.

He added that regional stability depends on “ending the occupation”
and establishing an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem
as its capital, in accordance with international resolutions and the
Arab Peace Initiative.
