Fair weather forecast ahead of Monday’s heatwave: JMD

Amman, August 8 (Petra) – Temperatures on Saturday will hover around
their seasonal average. The weather will be fair in most areas, and
hot in the desert, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba. Some
low-level clouds are expected in the Kingdom’s northern areas.

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), temperatures
will rise slightly on Sunday. The weather will be warm almost
nationwide and blistering in the desert, the Jordan Valley, the Dead
Sea, and Aqaba.

On Monday, the Kingdom will be affected by a hot air mass, causing
temperatures to rise further to reach 4-5 degrees Celsius above the
seasonal average.

Tuesday’s weather will remain hot in most regions, and sweltering in
the desert, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.

Today’s maximum and minimum temperatures in Amman today will range
between 34-20 degrees Celsius, and the level in the northern
mountains will stand at 30-18C, the desert areas at 38-23C, and the
plains at 34- 21.

Meanwhile, the Dead Sea and Gulf of Aqaba will see a scorching 41C,
sliding to 28C during night.
