Kosti, August 8, 2026 (SUNA) — Federal Minister of Health Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim and Wali of White Nile State Lt. Gen. Gamaralddin Mohamed Fadl Al-Moula, accompanied by a high-level delegation, inspected a number of health facilities in Ed Dueim and Kosti on Saturday. The visit included the opening of the Specialized Consultants Hospital, an inspection of Ed Dueim Hospital and the clinical examination center at the Faculty of Medicine, Bakht Al-Ruda University, as well as the laying of the foundation stone for the new headquarters of the Sudanese Association for Pediatric Diabetes. In Kosti, the delegation visited Kosti Teaching Hospital and inaugurated the installation of a Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner to enhance diagnostic services in the state. The delegation also launched a haemophilia program at the hospital’s blood bank. The minister and the Wali reaffirmed their commitment to supporting and developing medical services and completing the health infrastructure in White Nile State.BH/BH
