Moscow, August 10 (QNA) – The Russian Defense Ministry announced that it had targeted the Odesa Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plant and seven electricity substations in Ukraine.

In a statement, the ministry said that the Russian forces targeted the Odesa Plant, as well as the Usatovo 330 kV, Tsentropolit 330 kV, Artsyz 330 kV, Novoodeska 330 kV, Mayaky 330 kV, Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi 110 kV, and Karolino-Buhaz 110 kV substations.

The statement added that infrastructure at the Buhrovate gas field in Sumy Oblast was destroyed by drones.

The Russian Defense Ministry had announced on Sunday that fuel storage facilities used in support of the Ukrainian military had been targeted at the ports of Odesa and Chornomorsk, as well as in the Biliari and Novi Biliari areas near Odesa.

The Russian-Ukrainian conflict continues to see escalating reciprocal attacks. Kyiv has intensified its long-range strikes on targets inside Russian territory in recent months, while Moscow continues to launch missile and drone attacks on Ukrainian cities, particularly the capital, Kyiv.

In recent weeks, Russia has stepped up its targeting of Ukrainian maritime facilities and ports, especially in Odesa. Kyiv, in turn, has carried out drone attacks targeting Russian oil and military facilities. (QNA)
