Makkah, August 11 (QNA) – The Muslim World League strongly condemned Colombia’s recognition of Israeli sovereignty over the occupied Syrian Golan Heights.
In a statement Tuesday, the League said the move violates international law and relevant UN resolutions, particularly Security Council Resolution 497 of 1981, which declared Israel’s imposition of its laws and administration on the Golan null and void.
It reaffirmed that the Golan is occupied Syrian Arab territory, stressing that any measures contradicting this status are invalid, rejected, and undermine regional peace efforts. (QNA)
