Ramallah, Aug. 12 (Petra) — Israeli occupation forces closed the
Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron, southern West Bank, on Wednesday and
barred worshippers from entering, the Hebron Endowments Directorate
said in a statement.
Occupation forces raided and searched several homes across Hebron
governorate, the directorate said. The mosque was sealed to
worshippers and visitors to secure a storming of the site by
extremist settlers, who cited Jewish holidays as a pretext, according
to the statement.
