Prime Minister Professor Kamil Idris affirmed the state’s support for the plans, programs and projects of the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organization (SSMO), commending the significant role the organization has continued to play in supporting and protecting the national economy. The Prime Minister made the remarks during a meeting in Khartoum on Thursday with Chairman of the Board of Directors of the SSMO Professor Kamal-Eddin Al-Tayeb Yassin and Board Member Dr. Nasr-Eddin Sholgami, in the presence of Director-General of the SSMO Ms. Rahba Saeed Abdullah. Professor Kamal-Eddin Al-Tayeb said in a press statement that he briefed the Prime Minister on the outcomes of the first meeting of the SSMO Board of Directors, following the Prime Minister’s decision to reconstitute the board. He explained that the meeting discussed the organization’s performance during the past period and its achievements, as well as its plans, programs and projects for the coming phase.BH/BH
