Gaza, August 14 (QNA) – Three Palestinian fishermen were injured on Friday by Israeli occupation forces, amid continued Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement through further airstrikes and shelling operations. 

Medical sources reported that the three fishermen sustained injuries when Israeli occupation naval vessels opened fire on them off the coast of Gaza City.

In the southern Gaza Strip, Israeli occupation military vehicles opened heavy fire south of Khan Younis, coinciding with low-altitude reconnaissance drone flights over the city.

Israeli artillery also shelled the southern area of al-Bardawil neighborhood, south of Rafah, while military vehicles opened heavy fire and artillery shelled areas east of Gaza City.

Yesterday, two Palestinians were martyred and others wounded in a series of airstrikes and shooting operations carried out by the Israeli occupation army across various areas of the Gaza Strip, in an ongoing occupation violation of the ceasefire agreement.

The death toll from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 73,389 martyrs and 174,266 wounded.

The ceasefire agreement between Hamas and the Israeli entity went into effect on Oct. 10, following the withdrawal of the Israeli occupation army from its positions and populated areas in the Gaza Strip, alongside the return of displaced residents to the northern Strip, as part of the first phase of US President Donald Trump’s initiative to end the war on Gaza.
