Kuwait, August 14 (QNA) – Kuwait strongly condemned the Iranian attack on two tankers operated by UAE’s ADNOC while they were transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
Kuwait’s Foreign Ministry said targeting commercial vessels and international waterways violates international law and UN Security Council Resolution 2817, while threatening maritime security, energy supplies and global trade.
It called for an end to actions that escalate regional tensions, respect for freedom of navigation and safe passage through international waterways, and the full and unconditional reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
Kuwait also reaffirmed its full solidarity with the UAE and support for measures taken to protect its security, sovereignty and interests. (QNA)
