Kuwait, August 15 (QNA) – Kuwait has strongly condemned treacherous Iranian attack on a vessel belonging to the UAE’s ADNOC as it transited the Strait of Hormuz, in a blatant violation of international law and UN Security Council Resolution 2817.
In a statement issued today, Kuwait’s Foreign Ministry stressed that these repeated attacks pose a direct threat to the security and safety of maritime navigation, global energy supplies, and international trade.
The ministry renewed its call for an immediate halt to all escalatory actions and for adherence to international law, which guarantees freedom of navigation.
The statement reaffirmed Kuwait’s full solidarity with the UAE and its support for all measures taken by the UAE to safeguard its sovereignty and protect its security and interests. (QNA)
