Amman, Aug. 16 (Petra) –Israeli occupation forces and settlers
wounded dozens of Palestinians and detained several others in raids
across the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem on Sunday.

In a related incident, Israeli forces forced a Jerusalem resident to
demolish his own home.

Thirty-three Palestinians were wounded in settler and Israeli force
attacks in the Ras and Beit Ainoun areas east of Hebron in the
southern West Bank.

In its statement, Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said its
crews treated 10 injuries in Hebron’s Jaabari neighborhood, including
two live-fire cases.

A 60-year-old man was shot in the back and hand, while another man
was shot and later detained by occupation forces. Eight residents,
including a 66-year-old woman, were injured from beatings, the PRCS
said.

Settlers separately attacked the Zaloum family in the Beit Ainoun
area, wounding 20 Palestinians. Occupation forces detained 12 young
men in the same incident.

Elsewhere in the West Bank, occupation forces launched raid, search
and detention campaigns marked by clashes, home searches and field
interrogations.

The Palestinian Prisoner’s Club said Israeli forces stormed several
West Bank areas amid heavy gunfire and detained 25 Palestinians on
the pretext that these Palestinians were wanted by Israeli
authorities.

In occupied Jerusalem, Israeli authorities forced resident Mamoun
Salem Shweiki to demolish his own home in the Ein al-Fawqa
neighborhood of Silwan, citing lack of a building permit.

The Jerusalem governorate said the roughly 70-square-meter home,
built about two years ago, housed Shweiki, his wife and their three
children.

Meanwhile in Gaza Strip, Red Crescent crews recovered the body of
14-year-old Suheil Masoud Shalouf south of Khan Younis on Sunday, a
day after he was shot and killed by Israeli forces on Tina Street.

Three other Palestinians were wounded by Israeli force gunfire
targeting displacement tents in the Bir 19 area of Muwasi, Khan
Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip.
