Amman, Aug. 17 (Petra) — Turnover on the Amman Stock Exchange (ASE)
topped JD10 million on Monday, with 4.9 million shares changing hands
through 3,856 transactions.
The ASE general price index fell 0.22 percent to 3,978 points.
The financial sector index declined 0.44 percent, industry rose 0.17
percent and services gained 0.08 percent.
Of 107 companies, the share prices of 30 rose, 42 declined, and the
rest held steady compared with previous closings.
