Amman, Aug. 17 (Petra)– The Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) on
Monday evacuated the 31st batch of sick children from the Gaza Strip
under the Jordanian Medical Corridor Initiative, following royal
directives.
The new group includes seven sick children accompanied by 13 family
members. They were transferred to the Kingdom to receive medical
treatment and care in several Jordanian hospitals as part of the
country’s ongoing humanitarian and medical support for Palestinians
in Gaza.
The evacuation operations, which began in March 2025, are conducted
in coordination between the JAF, the Ministry of Health, and the
World Health Organization (WHO), adhering to approved health
procedures to ensure adequate medical care for the children.
The initiative highlights Jordan’s humanitarian role in supporting
Palestinians and alleviating their suffering amid challenging
conditions in Gaza, particularly by providing healthcare to
vulnerable groups.
Through these continuous efforts led by His Majesty King Abdullah II,
Jordan reaffirms its commitment to strengthening its humanitarian and
medical response to assist the sick and wounded.
