Moscow, Aug. 18 (Petra) — Russian authorities on Tuesday reimposed
restrictions on the sale and consumption of fuel in 10 southern
regions after easing the measures in July, as a shortage of diesel
and gasoline worsened in local markets.
The Russian government said in a statement that the restrictions were
imposed in southern regions due to a fuel shortage caused by
disruptions at several oil refineries. It said fuel supplies to
petrol stations remained difficult in several areas.
