Minister of Animal Resources and Fisheries Professor Ahmed Al-Tijani Al-Mansouri discussed with Blue Nile Region’s Minister of Animal Resources Arafat Al-Sadig ways to develop and expand the region’s livestock sector. The meeting reviewed the Animal Production City project and its role in increasing production and attracting investment, as well as the rehabilitation and modernization of slaughterhouses in line with health and technical standards. The minister stressed support for the state’s 20 dairy producers’ associations and the provision of production inputs to boost productivity and achieve self-sufficiency. The state minister, meanwhile, emphasized the importance of coordination with the federal ministry to strengthen animal health services and improve livestock breeds.BH/BH
