Brussels, August 19 (QNA) – European stock indices open mixed in early trade on Wednesday, as markets were impacted by rising interest rates that pushed investors to sell technology stocks, at a time when European markets appeared less affected compared to Wall Street and Asian markets
In the main European markets, France’s CAC 40 index on the Paris Stock Exchange rose 0.21%, in addition to the UK’s FTSE 100 index in London that went up 0.08%.
In contrast, Germany’s DAX index on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange fell 0.08%, while Italy’s Milan Stock Exchange index recorded a slight increase by 0.06%. (QNA)
