State Minister for Finance Mohamed Nour Abdeldaim announced the launch of a digital platform to manage government-owned companies and public authorities, designed to integrate with the state’s financial systems and later be rolled out across the states. The platform is part of a broader government program to reform public-sector entities, strengthen transparency and governance, improve revenue collection, and support Sudan’s efforts to secure debt relief. The meeting reviewed companies’ current budgets, the status of distressed entities, proposed reforms to boards of directors, and measures to strengthen financial and accounting controls. It also discussed electronic revenue collection and proposed amendments to the Companies Act. The Finance Ministry said the meetings will be held regularly to monitor the performance of government entities and improve their efficiency.BH/BH
