US stock indexes rebound after days of losses

New York, Aug. 19 (Petra) — Major U.S. stock market indexes turned
positive on Wednesday, recovering after several consecutive sessions
of declines.

At the close of trading, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 119
points, or 0.22%, to reach 53,463.

The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite Index gained 41 points, or 0.16%,
closing at 26,331.

The S&P 500 Index advanced roughly 16 points, or 0.22%, to settle at
7,708.

Meanwhile, U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil held steady,
closing at $85.42 per barrel.
