Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC), General Shams-Eddin Kabbashi, met with the Wali of West Kordofan State, Major General (Ret.) Hamid Hamad Teirab Al-Taher. In a press statement, the Wali of West Kordofan said the meeting was held to extend congratulations on the victories achieved by the Armed Forces and allied forces and to mark the 72nd anniversary of Armed Forces Day. He added that the meeting addressed the range of challenges facing the state and issues related to displacement, noting that he briefed the TSC member on the humanitarian situation in the state. The Wali said he received a highly positive and understanding response from General Kabbashi, who also reaffirmed his support for all state efforts to advance development and address the humanitarian situation. The Wali noted that the state’s plan aims to liberate all of its territory and provide humanitarian assistance and essential services to its citizens, affirming that the West Kordofan government has mobilized all its components in the area of training to defeat and eliminate the rebellion. He further said he briefed the TSC member on the state’s mobilization efforts to facilitate the return of the people of West Kordofan to their homes, provide them with support, and advance reconstruction efforts, in addition to preparing for the post-conflict phase of reconstruction and development, including the reconciliation and restoration of social cohesion required for that process.BH/BH
