Cybersecurity Authority Begins Linking “SudaPass” Digital ID to Banking Sector

The Cybersecurity Authority at the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Communications announced that it is coordinating with the Central Bank of Sudan and the banking sector to link the national digital identity, “SudaPass,” to banking systems. The initiative will enable banks to digitally verify customers’ identities and update their banking information remotely, eliminating the need to visit bank branches. The service is intended to make customer data updates easier for citizens inside and outside Sudan and expand the use of digital identity in banking services. The system will be introduced gradually according to each bank’s technical readiness, with banks expected to announce the service once it becomes available to their clienteles.BH/BH
