King holds meeting with leading Chinese companies in Beijing

Beijing, Aug. 21 (Petra)– His Majesty King Abdullah II held a
meeting on Friday with representatives of leading Chinese companies
operating in sectors of priority to the Jordanian economy.

His Majesty emphasised the importance of building partnerships and
exchanging expertise with these companies, which work in the energy,
mining, fertiliser, food, and advanced industries.

During the meeting, the King highlighted opportunities the Jordanian
market can offer these companies, including the potential of
expanding operations and strengthening their presence in Jordan and
the region, particularly in value-added sectors and manufacturing
industries.

For their part, the Chinese company representatives expressed
interest in exploring cooperation opportunities with Jordan that
align with the strategic objectives of both countries.

Director of the Office of His Majesty Alaa Batayneh, Minister of
Industry, Trade, and Supply Yarub Qudah, Minister of Energy and
Mineral Resources Saleh Kharabsheh, Minister of Digital Economy and
Entrepreneurship Sami Smeirat, Jordan’s Ambassador to China Hussam
Husseini, and China’s Ambassador to Jordan Guo Wei attended the
meeting.
