Islamabad, August 21 (QNA) – The Pakistani army announced today the killing of 49 militants in security operations in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces in the north and southwest of the country.
In a statement, the army said that during the security operations, large quantities of explosives, remote-controlled bomb detonators, weapons, ammunition, and motorcycles were seized and destroyed. It affirmed that its forces are continuing their operations to clear the vast areas of the two provinces until all militants are eliminated and security is established.
The army had announced yesterday (Thursday) the elimination of five militants during security operations in the southwest of the country. It had also previously announced several military operations that resulted in dozens of deaths and injuries in the same region. (QNA)
