Doha, August 22 (QNA) – Al Sadd have suffered an early injury setback with three first-team players – Spaniard Rafa Mojica, Malian Mohamed Camara and Algerian Abdel Samad Bounacer – ruled out of upcoming Qatar Stars League matches.
The Doha-based club confirmed the trio’s absence in a post on its official X account on Saturday, but did not provide details on the nature of their injuries or specify how long the players are expected to remain sidelined.
The timing of the injuries presents an immediate challenge for Al Sadd’s coaching staff, with the new Qatar Stars League season having kicked off on Thursday.
Mojica, Camara and Bounacer are all expected to play important roles in Al Sadd’s campaign, and their absence will test the depth of the squad as the club seeks to make a strong start to the season and challenge for domestic honours.
Al Sadd will now look to manage the early-season setback while awaiting further updates on the players’ recoveries. (QNA)
