Amman, Aug. 22 (Petra) — The council of the Jordan Press Association
reviewed progress Saturday on its digital transformation and
electronic services automation project during a meeting chaired by
JPA President Tareq Al-Momani.
The council examined procedures carried out by the tendering
committee and noted it is awaiting a technical committee report
before finalizing the next steps of the project.
As part of its efforts to modernize and automate services, the
council decided to launch a trial run of a WhatsApp bot service. The
platform will allow general assembly members to quickly access
services and submit inquiries via the messaging application ahead of
a planned full-scale rollout following performance evaluation.
Additionally, council members reviewed meeting minutes submitted by
several internal committees, including the women’s, cultural,
freedoms, and social committees.
