Minister of Finance, Dr. Gebreil Ibrahim Mohamed, met with Kuwaiti Minister of Finance, Dr. Yagoub Al-Sayed Yousuf Al-Rifai, as part of his official visit to the State of Kuwait. According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Finance’s media office, the meeting discussed the fraternal and historic relations between the two countries, as well as ways to strengthen financial and economic cooperation and develop areas of partnership in a manner that serves their common interests. The Finance Minister affirmed Sudan’s solidarity with and support for the State of Kuwait, its leadership, and its brotherly people amid the current circumstances facing the country. He also reaffirmed Sudan’s commitment to strengthening the fraternal relations and joint cooperation between the two countries. The two sides also exchanged views on a number of financial and economic issues of mutual interest and stressed the importance of continuing coordination and consultation and advancing bilateral cooperation toward broader horizons. The meeting was attended by a number of officials from Kuwait’s ministries of finance and foreign affairs, as well as representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Sudan in the State of Kuwait.BH/BH
