Northern Ghor, August 23 (Petra) – The Northern Ghor Agriculture
Department urged local livestock owners to cooperate with veterinary
teams as field crews roll out a preventative vaccination campaign
against Foot-and-Mouth Disease (FMD).
Veterinary teams are conducting field visits to vaccinate sheep and
other livestock against multiple viral strains, including SAT1, to
protect herds and prevent production losses, department director
Mohammad Naeem told the Jordan News Agency (Petra).
Naeem stressed the importance of granting field crews smooth access
to livestock holdings to ensure full vaccination coverage.
He also called on livestock owners to update their herd registration
data at the department to ensure accurate distribution of government
subsidies and veterinary services.
