Amman, Aug. 24 (Petra)– Jordanian Field Hospital South Gaza/11 began
receiving patients and visitors on Monday, providing medical and
therapeutic services to help alleviate the suffering of people in
Gaza amid the difficult humanitarian and medical conditions facing
the Strip.

The hospital commander said the facility’s mission comes in
implementation of the Royal directives and reflects Jordan’s
steadfast position in supporting the people of Gaza by providing them
with medical, therapeutic and humanitarian care and helping ease
their suffering. He affirmed that the hospital personnel would
continue to carry out their duties with dedication and discipline.

The hospital director said the medical, nursing and allied health
teams, which include highly experienced personnel, are performing
their duties with efficiency and professionalism. He noted that
immediately upon their arrival, the teams undertook all the necessary
technical and logistical preparations to launch the hospital’s
operations and are now fully prepared to receive patients.

The hospital includes specialized clinics and departments covering
general medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, dermatology, intensive
care, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, vascular surgery,
neurosurgery, pediatric and neonatal surgery, plastic and burn
surgery, and maxillofacial surgery.

It also includes a mobile unit providing support for amputees and
prosthetic limbs.
