Gold Falls Ahead of US Inflation Data

Singapore, August 26 (QNA) – Gold prices eased on Wednesday, on track to snap ‌a three-session winning streak, with focus shifting to US inflation data due later today for signals on the Federal Reserve’s outlook on interest rates.

Spot gold fell 0.6 percent to USD 4,626.79 per ounce, after prices climbed to their highest since mid-May on Tuesday.

US gold futures dropped 0.2 percent ⁠to USD 4,683.60.

Among other metals, spot silver gained 0.2 percent to USD 68.75 per ounce, platinum rose 0.3 percent ​to USD 1,863.58, and palladium climbed 0.7 percent to USD 1,335.54. (QNA)
