Amman, Aug. 26 (Petra) – Italy reiterated its opposition to illegal
Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank on Wednesday.
“We are against Israeli settlements in the West Bank because they
undermine the establishment of a Palestinian state,” Italian Foreign
Minister Antonio Tajani said, according to Italian news agency
Adnkronos.
Addressing the surge in settler attacks against Palestinians in the
occupied West Bank, Tajani called on Israeli authorities to
intervene, stating that “the Israeli government must prevent settlers
from continuing what they are doing.”
