The President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council (TSC) and Commander-in-Chief of the Sudanese Armed Forces, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, awarded the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Sudan, Fatih Yıldız, the Order of the Two Niles, First Class, on the occasion of the conclusion of his term of service in the country and in recognition of his role in strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and deepening the longstanding bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries. The award was presented during Al-Burhan’s reception of the ambassador at his office at the Republican Palace on Wednesday, in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ambassador Mohi-Eddin Salem. In a press statement, the Turkish ambassador praised the bilateral relations between the two countries in all fields, noting that they are based on deep-rooted, historical and longstanding ties. He affirmed that the two countries would continue to advance these relations towards broader horizons. The ambassador also stressed that Sudan’s future depends on preserving its unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity, and strengthening its existing institutions under the leadership of the President of the Transitional Sovereignty Council during this critical stage. He added that preserving and strengthening these institutions is essential to safeguarding Sudan’s sovereignty, unity and the continuity of the state. The ambassador renewed his country’s firm position in support of Sudan’s stability and sovereignty, noting that Sudanese state institutions cannot be equated with the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia. He stressed that lasting peace must be built through an inclusive process in which the Sudanese people determine the future of their country, expressing hope for the achievement of peace and stability in Sudan.BH/BH
