Doha, August 27 (QNA) – Al Sadd coach Razvan Lucescu has affirmed the team readiness for Friday’s match against Qatar SC.
Speaking to the media ahead of their 2026-2027 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 2 match, Lucescu stated: “The next match is always important because our goal is to secure the three points. It is made even more difficult because one of the characteristics of this league is that any team can beat any other team in any match. Therefore, we must be fully prepared, maintain the highest level of focus and give our all from the first whistle to the last.
“The victory against Al Ahli is now in the past. We must draw confidence from that match and realize that we are on the right track. At the same time, we must forget that first win because Friday’s match will be completely different,” said Lucescu.
Qatar SC coach Marquez Lopez also spoke ahead of their 2026-2027 season Doha Bank Stars League match against Al Sadd, saying: “Our match against Al Sadd will be tough and we are aiming for a positive result. We have worked on preparing the team appropriately, and we have been training well recently.
“In the first round, we played a strong match against Al Wakrah, one of the best teams in the league. It was a difficult encounter, but despite that, we created many opportunities that we were unable to capitalize on. Therefore, a point is better than nothing and we are looking ahead to achieving victories in the upcoming matches,” said Marquez. (QNA)
