Amman, Sept 7 (Petra) – The King Abdullah II Fund for Development on
Monday launched the second phase of its “Tariqi” (my path) project
for this year, targeting the Software Quality Assurance (SQA) sector
for mobile applications and websites.

The initiative aims to enhance the competitiveness of young people
and improve their employability in diverse and promising sectors that
meet the demands of the labor market.

The second phase of the project aims to equip young people with the
technical and professional skills and practical expertise to enter
the job market. This will be achieved through a comprehensive
training program that combines life skills development, specialized
technical training, and practical application within host companies,
thereby enhancing their employability and increasing their
competitiveness in in-demand fields, the Fund said in a statement.

Director General of the Fund Samer Al-Mufleh said launching the
second phase is part of the Fund’s approach to aligning its programs
and projects with the changing demands of the labor market and
focusing on promising sectors that offer career opportunities for
young people.

He stressed the need to provide specialized training programs that
are linked to the actual demand for skills and competencies, and that
give young people practical opportunities to build their professional
experiences.

The project will continue this year to work on four diverse and
promising sectors, selected based on labor market needs and the
requirements of future jobs, which will enhance young people’s
readiness to transition from education to professional life and
support the objectives of the economic modernization vision in the
field of investing in human capital and developing skills, Al-Mufleh
pointed out.

The second phase targets young people aged 21-27 from various
governorates, who possess academic qualifications or experience in
the fields of Management Information Systems, Computer Information
Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer
Engineering, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, and
Cybersecurity.

The Tariqi project is one of several initiatives implemented by the
Fund for Development in partnership with the UK’s King’s Trust
International (KTI), through the Business Development Center (BDC),
since 2015.

The project has trained 1,124 young men and women, 596 of whom have
secured employment, reflecting its success in aligning training with
labor market needs and translating acquired skills into tangible
career opportunities.
