CAIRO (SUNA) – Minister of Youth and Sports, Professor Ahmed Adam Ahmed, discussed avenues for cooperation with the Arab Administrative Development Organization (ARADO) in training, capacity-building, consultancy services, and the organisation of youth and sports events, in a move aimed at supporting Sudan’s recovery and reconstruction efforts. The discussions took place during the minister’s visit to the organization’s headquarters in Cairo today, Wednesday, where the two sides agreed to arrange the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the ministry and the organization. The memorandum will cover joint programmes and projects aimed at developing youth and sports activities and strengthening institutional and administrative capacities. The agreement includes organising the Sudanese Youth and Sports Forum and holding a symposium on the role of sports in promoting social cohesion. It also provides for training and qualifying administrative personnel at sports institutions, federations and clubs, developing sports management and investment, and exploring the role of young people in advancing sports recovery. Both sides agreed to develop an implementation plan for the agreed programmes and activities and establish a joint committee comprising representatives of the ministry and the organization. The committee will oversee the completion of the technical, logistical and financial arrangements required to implement the initiatives and ensure that the objectives of their cooperation are achieved.BH/BH
