Beirut, October 25 (QNA) – Israeli forces continued their offensives across southern Lebanon on Sunday, according to Lebanon’s National News Agency, which reported a drone attack on Kfar Tibnit, taking out several buildings in Wadi Hujeir in Israeli warplane strikes, and the blowing up of a site in Houla, in the Marjayoun district.
The agency also reported heavy-weapons sweeps toward Aita Al-Jabal, followed by heavy shelling of Mansouri and Majdal Zoun in the Tyre district.
Meanwhile, the fringes of Baraachit came under intermittent artillery shelling, with Israeli military vehicles reportedly advancing toward Haddatha, where a tank fired a shell inside the town amid machine-gun sweeps.
Lebanon and Israel signed a US-brokered framework agreement last June outlining security arrangements, including the gradual deployment of the Lebanese military and the pullout of Israeli occupation forces, alongside measures tied to reconstruction and economic recovery.
Implementation of the agreement’s provisions, however, remains hampered by persistent obstacles. (QNA)
