Drug dealers arrested across Jordan-PSD

Amman, Mar. 16 (Petra) -Public Security Directorate (PSD)’s media spokesperson said Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) agents carried out campaigns and raids in a number of the Kingdom’s governorates, during which a number of drug dealers were arrested and narcotic quantities were confiscated.

In southern Karak governorate, 9 drug dealers and suspects were arrested, who were seized with various narcotic quantities.

According to a PSD statement, one of the “most dangerous” drug dealers were also arrested during a raid in northern Ramtha district after uncovering the date for delivering a “large” amount of drugs, and the suspect was arrested and seized with 2 kg of narcotic crystal meth.

In Zarqa governorate, AND teams ambushed two suspects, who transported “large” drug quantities to the central governorate from from northern Mafraq city and were pulled over inside their vehicle, arrested, and seized with 21 palm-sized sheets of hashish and 10,000 narcotic pills in their possession.

In Amman, two drug promoters were nabbed for distributing narcotic substances within the capital’s eastern regions and were seized with 8 palm-sized sheets of hashish, 1,000 narcotic pills, and 100 grams of crystal meth. In Ramtha, a drug pusher was arrested and seized with 7 palm-sized sheets of hashish.
