Al-Gadarif, Jan. 28, 2026 (SUNA) – Acting Wali of Al-Gadarif Lieutenant General Mohamed Ahmed Hassan met Wednesday with Sudanese Agricultural Bank General Manager Salah Abdel Rahim to discuss support for the agricultural sector.The Wali praised the bank’s role in supporting producers despite the impact of the war on the banking system and called for solutions to low crop prices, particularly sorghum, alongside expanded financing for small farmers and cash crops.Abdel Rahim said the bank is recovering from war-related losses, expanding branches to promote financial inclusion, and preparing to finance the upcoming agricultural season. He also announced plans to build new grain silos and rehabilitate existing facilities in Al-Gadarif.FA/BH
