Al Hussein Technical University wins Youth Engineering Challenge

Amman, Jan. 8 (Petra) -Arab Center for Engineering Studies (ACES), in cooperation with INJAZ, wrapped up activities of the “Youth Engineering Challenge” project for university students.

25 students from the civil engineering department from Al Hussein Technical University (HTU) and other Jordanian universities took part in the competition.

According to an INJAZ statement Wednesday, the project featured a series of ad hoc training sessions, aimed to enable participants to acquire the necessary skills and resources to enter the labor market.

The event also provided technical and supervisory support to enhance the beneficiaries’ professional readiness.

The statement added that students acquired basic competencies in “effective” communication to solve problems and present engineering solutions to the target challenge.

Concluding the activities, four student teams engaged in presenting “practical and innovative” solutions to engineering and technical challenges, before an expert jury from ACES and INJAZ.

The statement said the HTU team won the awards, comprised of Malek Shalash, Mohammed Musleh, Huthaifa Salama, Ala’a Al-Atrash and Mahmoud Badawi, for excelling in presenting “appropriate” solutions to the engineering challenge “professionally”.
