Aqaba, Oct. 21 (Petra) Civil defense teams in Aqaba carried out a mock evacuation drill Tuesday at Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Hospital.
Hospital Director Dr. Mohammad Kreishan said the exercise aims to enhance readiness for potential incidents and disasters in vital facilities, test emergency plans, and raise community awareness by familiarizing them with safety procedures and emergency responses.
The drill involved simulating a fire and the orderly evacuation of staff and patients to a safe area outside the hospital following the alarm sirens.
The supervising team from civil defense included Major Daifallah Al-Awasa, Captain Mohammad Al-Rfou, and First Lieutenant Fawaz Al-Jaradin.
