Amman, Oct. 22 (Petra) Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti inspected on Wednesday the Royal Border Guard Battalion/2, a unit of the Southern Military Region, where he was received by the region’s commander.

Huneiti, accompanied by senior armed forces officers, received a briefing on the unit’s operational tasks, training programs, and the procedures for carrying out border security duties within its area of responsibility.

He affirmed that the General Command of the Armed Forces continues to implement plans to support and equip Border Guard units with modern devices and equipment, enabling them to fulfill their duties across all border fronts and prevent any attempts at infiltration or smuggling.

At the conclusion of the visit, Huneiti conveyed the confidence and pride of His Majesty the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces in the personnel of the Southern Military Region, commending their high professionalism, performance, and morale.
