Amman, August 26 (Petra) – Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti, on Tuesday visited the Royal Maintenance Corps (RMC).

During the visit, Huneiti was briefed by the RMC’s Director on its tasks and duties, as well as its modernization and development operations carried out over the past years, which achieved “advanced” levels of technical and combat readiness.

According to an Army statement, the briefing went over the RMC’s role in maintaining the various military equipment, weapons, and systems operating within the Jordanian Armed Forces (JAF)-Arab Army to ensure their “full” readiness to operate under various operational conditions and environments.

Huneiti affirmed the JAF’s General Command’s commitment to supporting the RMC and providing the “latest advanced” technological devices and equipment, which would enable the corps to carry out tasks with “high efficiency and adequacy”.

Praising the technical competencies of the RMC’s engineers and technicians, he also commended their professionalism, “extensive experience, and distinguished capability to innovate and create in facing various challenges.”
