Aqaba, Oct. 21 (Petra) — Ayla Oasis Development Company, in cooperation with the Princess Basma Community Development Center in Aqaba, affiliated with the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD), launched a hydroponic farming project aimed at empowering women and advancing sustainable agriculture in the local community.
Ayla Oasis CEO Sahl Dudin said the initiative translates the company’s commitment to sustainability and community development, particularly women’s empowerment, through projects with measurable environmental and economic impact. He stressed that real development begins with initiatives that equip individuals with tools and knowledge to build a balanced, sustainable future.
Princess Basma Center Director Aya Kalaldeh highlighted that the project reflects strong collaboration between Ayla and the center and a shared vision to spread a culture of sustainable agriculture. She said hydroponic farming represents an innovative approach that enhances food security and supports families’ economic independence.
